This Privacy Policy explains how MyCoachBob (operated by JSCD) ("MyCoachBob," "we," "us," "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use the MyCoachBob mobile app (the "App") and related services (collectively, the "Services").
1) Information We Collect
1.1 Information you provide
- Account information: email, login credentials or authentication tokens
- Profile and training preferences: goals, experience level, preferences, and other details you choose to provide
- Workout and performance data: workouts, logs (sets/reps/weight), notes, progress tracking
- Messages and support requests: messages you send through coaching chat or support channels
- Form Check content: videos you upload for form feedback
1.2 Information collected automatically
- Device and app information: device type, operating system version, app version, language, time zone
- Diagnostics and performance data: crash logs and error information needed to keep the app reliable and secure
- Usage information: how you interact with the app (for example, which features you use), in a limited way needed to operate and improve the Services
1.3 Subscription and purchase information
Payments for subscriptions are processed by Apple. We do not receive your full payment card details.
We (and our subscription management provider) may receive information such as:
- Subscription status (active/inactive)
- Product identifiers
- Renewal and expiration dates
- Transaction-related identifiers used to verify entitlements
2) How We Use Information
We use information to:
- Provide and operate the Services (including workout planning, tracking, and coaching)
- Personalize recommendations and plans
- Process subscriptions and manage access to paid features
- Provide support and respond to requests
- Maintain safety, security, and prevent abuse
- Debug and improve reliability and performance
3) AI and Automated Processing
Some features (e.g., coaching chat, workout generation, form feedback) may use third-party AI providers (such as large language model providers). Providers may change over time.
When you use AI-enabled features, we may process relevant inputs (for example, your messages, workout context, and preferences) in order to generate responses and recommendations.
We do not sell your personal information.
Model training: By default, this policy assumes we do not use your personal information or Form Check videos to train public models. If you do plan to allow training or improvement beyond providing the service to the user, you should add an explicit opt-in/opt-out section before launch.
4) How We Share Information
We share information only as necessary to provide the Services, including with:
4.1 Service providers (processors)
We use trusted vendors to operate the app, such as:
- Supabase (authentication, database, and storage)
- RevenueCat (subscription status and entitlement management)
- AI providers (for generating coaching responses and related features)
These providers are permitted to process information only to provide services to us and must protect it.
4.2 Legal and safety
We may disclose information if required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security (e.g., to investigate fraud or abuse).
4.3 Business transfers
If MyCoachBob is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, user information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to appropriate protections.
5) Form Check Videos: Storage and Retention
If you upload Form Check videos:
- Videos are stored (currently in Supabase Storage) to provide feedback and maintain your history.
- Videos are retained until you delete them (if available) or your account is deleted, as described below.
6) Data Retention and Account Deletion (30-Day Grace Period)
You can initiate account deletion in the App.
When you request deletion:
- Your account enters a 30-day grace period before permanent deletion.
- During this grace period, you may be able to restore your account (if supported in-app).
- After the grace period, we delete your account and associated data, including Form Check videos, except where limited retention is required for legal, security, or backup purposes.
7) Your Choices
- Access and update: You can update certain information in the App.
- Delete account: You can initiate deletion in the App (with the 30-day grace period described above).
- Notifications: You can control push notifications in your device settings.
8) Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
9) Children's Privacy
The Services are not intended for individuals under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from users under 16.
10) International Transfers
Your information may be processed in countries other than where you live, depending on where our service providers operate. We take steps to protect information consistent with this Policy.
11) Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If changes are material, we will provide notice (for example, via in-app notice). The "Last updated" date reflects the latest version.
